Annabel is an award-winning writer, director and producer of documentary and drama-documentary programmes.

As a director, she has been nominated for three BAFTAs (two as 'Best Director: Factual'); and three Grierson awards, and she has won a Golden Panda (Wildscreen) award.

Her work has won numerous other awards, including, BAFTA: Best Photography.

She is expert in telling stories in many genres: from retrospective narratives and crime ('I Cut Off HIs Penis: The Truth Behind The Headlines) to the entirely constructed narratives of Science and History ('Why Are We Here?' and 'Is Nuclear Power Safe?').
