Grant mudford biography

Grant Mudford was born in Sydney, Australia in  He studied architecture at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. In the s & s he photographed for advertising, fashion, magazine editorial and theater, and worked on numerous short films as a cinematographer. In and he received 2 Visual Arts Board Travel Grants from the Australia Council for the Arts, which enabled him to live in London and later New York. He had exhibitions at Light Gallery, NY in & as well as Photographers’ Gallery, London; Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney; and Powell Street Gallery, Melbourne.

In he moved to Los Angeles, and in there was a survey exhibition of his photographs at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Wash., D.C.; the same year he began to show at the Rosamund Felsen Gallery.
